Ramiz Raja responds to Ahmed Shehzad's criticism on PCB

Ramiz Raja, the newly appointed chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), while revealing information regarding his salary, said that he will not charge even a single penny for his services to the board and Pakistan Cricket.

He urged his mission is to serve Pakistan with a great devotion as he used to do in his playing days.

Notably, after Ehsan Mani’s regime as a chairman ended, Ramiz was the probable candidate and won the elections to take over the chair post. Since he took charge of the designation, around five retirements from the board have been acknowledged.

Raja says his central aim is to fix infrastructure of Pakistan Cricket rather than charging millions. It is pertinent to mention that he has been signed by the board on a three-year contract.

“I have joined the cricket board at ‘zero money.’ For three years, I will not get a single rupee,”

He revealed the details during a meeting at National High Performance Center with the club owners under the jurisdiction of Central Punjab Cricket Association. The chairman also mentioned focusing highly on cricket at grassroots level bringing skill in Pakistan’s domestic circuit.

What happened when Ramiz Raja met BCCI, other boards’ heads in ACC meeting?

Earlier, while opening on the revival of India Pakistan Cricket, said that a lot needs to be done. He believes the ice between two boards should be melted and politics should stay away from the game to meet the lookouts’ demands.

Notablt, he met heads of the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) and other boards, including the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) in Dubai on 15th October where ACC gave Asia Cup 2023 hosting rights to Pakistan in September as the event will be played in the 50-over format.
