Ramiz Raja emphasizes on Pak vs Ind cricket

Mr Ramiz Raja, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has commented on the value of ‘Pak vs Ind’ cricket and says it cannot be forgotten amidst the political tensions at two ends.

In recent times, Cricket Australia (CA) also highlighted the craze of Pak vs Ind cricket and said it must be on the plans. CA also offered to host tri-nation series between, Pakistan, India, and Australia.

Ramiz formulated the idea into a four-nation series, also including England. CA has shown its interest, however, the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI), England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and the International Cricket Council (ICC) are yet to comment on the initiative for Pakistan vs India coming face to face.

It must be noted that the arch-rivals have not played any bilateral series since 2012. They only meet in ICC and ACC events, hence, the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 was their last meeting, when the men in green thrashed away the men in blue by 10 wickets.

Visibly, Pak vs Ind World Cup match broke the viewership records which means the masses wish to see such cricket, which has not been happening around for years.

Pakistan has proved its presidential security, successfully hosting the ongoing historic Australia tour of Pakistan. The seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 7) has also been successful within the backyard. The PCB now awaits actions and responses from ICC, BCCI, and the ECB.

It is appropriate to cite that Raja has sent the offered plan of the four-nation Super Series to the ICC, while a copy of the draft of the series has also been transmitted to Australia, India, and England.
