Ramiz Raja releases statement on controversial Pak vs Ind

The Indo-Pak clash of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 took place on Sunday at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) and the spectators were astonished and upset on poor umpirings at time.

Earlier in the day, the men in blue won the toss and elected to bowl. On the bowling pitch, the Pakistani openers struggled however, top-order batter Shan Masood and middle-order Iftikhar Ahmed paved the way for them, as the batters amassed 159 on the loss of eight wickets.

A target of 160 runs looks easy peasy for India, but on the Melbourne pitch, it turned out to be a challenge. Pakistan started off well until the match was dragged to the 11th hour. The dead-over dramas let India win the encounter with zero sparing balls.

The Pak vs Ind today was greater than any Netflix show, and when added Mohammad Nawaz’s final over, it became even greater. Nawaz’s one of the delivery to Virat Kohli bounced over his waist and he was given a no-ball. After a six, Kohli again tried to pull harder for another six on the no-ball but was not lucky enough and was cleaned bowl.

However, Dinesh Karthik, at the non-striker end was ready to scrap up as the duo ran for three. Surprisingly, against the rules, the umpires called for byes, in place of giving a dead ball, since if a batter is out of the no-ball, it is considered a dead ball and no byes are allowed on it.

While everyone shares their stances on nailbiting Pak vs Ind match, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mr Ramiz Raja, too has things to say. He mentioned the words cruel and unfair in his tweet, which shows that the match ended with dull decisions by the umpires.

A classic! You win some you lose some and as we all know this game can be cruel and unfair.#TeamPakistan couldn’t have given more with bat and ball. Very proud of the effort!A classic!
