Fake news: Shaheen Shah Afridi’s engagement with Afridi’s daughter

Shaheen Shah Afridi and Shahid Afridi have now in-laws connections after Afridi’s daughter, Ansha Afridi’s proposal has been confirmed with Pakistan’s fast bowler, Shaheen.

The news is circulating on social media for a day. A few declared it as fake whereas, others believed. There were no clear stances until one of the Pakistani journalists, Ihtisham ul Haq confirmed with the two families to expose and clear.

According to the latest news, Afridi wants her daughter to complete her education first. However, a formal engagement ceremony will soon be organized in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa – KPK, Afridi’s district.

The marriage ceremony will be taking place after at least two years. As of now, Sajid Sadiq, one of the social persons, has also confirmed the news with Shaheen Afridi’s father. Here is his tweet.

Other than this, Afridi himself has cleared posting on Twitter. He wrote,

Shaheen’s family approached my family for my daughter. Both families are in touch, matches are made in heaven if Allah wills this match will be made too. My prayers are with Shaheen for his continued success on and off the field.
