Shoaib Akhtar wants to buy and rename Lahore Qalandars’ franchise

Shoaib Akhtar, the former Pakistani fast bowler assumes that Lahore Qalandars, a renowned and one of the expensive teams of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), will strike under his ownership smoothly. While addressing one of Pakistan’s media portals, Akhtar revealed that he earlier summoned Qalandars’ stakeholders to sell him the franchise.

Akhtar added that the brand is wasted by the contemporary tenants with no strait-laced implementation and utilization of ‘cricket’. He asserts that he will rename the unit as Lahore Express replacing the management to make it perform with scratch.

Prominently, Akhtar, who has been knowing as the Rawalpindi Express since his bowling and celebration vogues in the Green’s golden cricketing period, considers that renaming Qalandars’ as per his curriculum will prepare them to function placidly.

Their journey in PSL 6 was similar to the initiations but they once again turned into the Qalandars of PSL 1, 2, 3, and 4 with the termination stages arrival.

Notably, their qualification in the playoffs was highly dependent upon Kings defeat versus Gladiators in the 29th match of the extravaganza. But the Imad-led team, already owning better NRR, defeated Sarfaraz and co to turn Sohail’s men hopes off getting themselves qualified for the Eliminator 1.
