Shoaib Malik no more on PCB’s plans

PCB to neglect Shoaib Malik forever

The veteran Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik has been gathering lashes from the Pakistan cricketing fraternity after he posted a cryptic tweet on the team’s loss in Asia Cup 2022 final. The all-rounder called Babar Azam ‘dishonest’, choosing the squad based on friendship.

As soon as the tweet came, the experts and the fans were of the view that Malik was running propaganda after he was dropped from Asia Cup 2022 squad. Before the men in green’s squad were to be announced, there were speculations regarding Malik’s involvement in solving middle-order woes.

After some did not see his name in Pakistan’s Asia Cup 2022 squad, it led to disappointment for many. However, those many have now turned into critics after Malik called everyone’s favourite Babar a dishonest person, that too on behalf of a single loss.

As of now, it is heard that the veteran cricket will no more be on PCB’s future plan after following a political approach against the current team. The reports state that the board is looking for long-term solutions rather than sticking to short-term plans, implacable for a single tournament.

A local journalist on Twitter wrote,

PCB Selection Committee is agreed to say no to Shoaib Malik till last ball. They are more concerned of building plans to secure next two or three years rather than temporary plans for two or three tournaments

Notably, after Pakistan’s middle-order was seen failing on multiple occasions, fans raised their voices to let him in the squad for the T20 World Cup 2022 scheduled in Australia. Nevertheless, after Malik’s cryptic tweet hinting at the agenda against Babar and co, he is left with no chance in Ramiz Raja’s united squad.
