Sky Sports signs 3 years deal on Pakistan home matches

Sky Sports have signed a deal with Pakistan to broadcast all of Pakistan’s home matches and Pakistan Super League matches for three years following conformations from Saj Sadiq’s tweet.

Pakistan will host South Africa for two Test matches and three Twenty20 International matches starting from January 26. On Friday, Pakistan announced their squad for the Test series.

  • Kamran Ghulam,
  • Mohammad Nawaz,
  • Nauman Ali,
  • Sajid Khan,
  • Hassan Ali,
  • Haris Rauf,
  • Tabish Khan.

Haris Sohail, Imam ul Haq, Shan Masood, Shadab Khan, Naseem Shah, and Mohammad Abbas dropped from the squads. 

There were as many as nine new faces in the squad selected by newly appointed chief selector Mohammad Waseem. It includes opener Imran Butt and Abdullah Shafique, middle-order batsmen Kamran Ghulam, Salman Ali Agha, Saud Shakeel, bowlers Nauman Ali, and Sajid Khan, Haris Rauf, and Tabish Khan.

PSL matches will be broadcast by Sky Sports

Furthermore, the sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League will begin from February 20 till March 22. All the teams have announced their squads for their respective sides.

The six teams — Karachi Kings (defending champions), Quetta Gladiators, Islamabad United, Peshawar Zalmi, Lahore Qalandars, and Multan Sultans — will take part in the round-robin group stage. After that, the qualifiers will be played with the top four sides will qualifying for the knockout stages. It will be held from March 18, while the final will be played on March 22 in Lahore.

Broadcast

Apart from Sky Sports, there are other ways where Pakistan matches and PSL will be broadcast.

For Pakistan fans, the Pakistan Super League and home matches will be broadcast on the PTV sports channel. 

For international viewers, official YouTube channels will live the stream of the matches. The official channel of Pakistan Super League will live stream all the PSL 6 matches, as they did in the playoffs stages of PSL 5, while the official channel of Pakistan cricket will live stream all the home matches.
