Sohaib Maqsood no more to captain Southern Punjab

Sohaib Maqsood, the captain of one of the teams of the National t20 Cup 2021, Southern Punjab, will no more be leading the team for the season.

He informed his decision to the SOP management saying he needs to focus more on his batting and keep himself fresh ahead of the T20 World Cup 2021.

One of the officials from SOP said that,

Sohaib Maqsood has withdrawn himself from the captaincy position as he wants to keep his mind fresh and relaxed ahead of the T20 World Cup.

In his place, SOP has named Aamer Yamin as the captain to lead the rest of the games.

Sohaib, although was out of form throughout the contest yet but regained it back versus Northern. He got 47-ball 75. His team is yet to win a game despite playing four. At the time of writing, SOP is playing their fifth match against fifth-ranked Balochistan. Sohaib has shined with another blistering century adding 54 off 34.
