Despite all preparations on the board, the venue fuss is yet unsolved. Considering the tournament to kick-start from late March or early April, the BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has made a comment over the synopsis.

Ganguly mentioned the high possibilities of organizing this year’s version in Maharashtra; Mumbai and Pune for the Robinhood stage whereas, the decision for the playoffs hosting will be announced later.

“It will be held in India this year, until and unless COVID-19 hits the roof. As far as venues are concerned, we are looking at hosting the matches in Maharashtra – Mumbai, and Pune. We will take a call on the venues for the knockout stages later,”

It must be noted that IPL 2022 auction is set to take place in Bengaluru on 12th and 13th February. It will be a two-day affair since Ahmedabad and Lucknow franchises have been added to make the 8-team panel a 10-team forum.
