Stadium Mai Baaja Lana Mana hai - PCB

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has banned horns inside stadiums following players’ back-to-back complaints. The loud horns interrupt the cricketers’ concentration during the play hence, they do not find it appropriate inside the ground. However, fans love to blow the colourful trumpets throughout the match.

The board installed a banner outside the stadium ahead of the Pak vs Aus 2nd ODI saying ‘Stadium Mai Baaja Lana Mana hai’ which means horns are not allowed inside the stadium. There is no say if the announcement is only for Pak vs Aus, or will be implemented in the forthcoming matches played on Pakistani soil.

Pakistani and Indian fans are usually noticed with different horns inside the stadiums. Before that, no issue has been released on the fans’ amusement, however, following the ease and comfort of players during the match, the PCB has decided ‘no more horns’ to be blown at least during the Pak vs Aus series.

The calm environment and fans’ chants will let the players focus on the game. It must be noted the Pak vs Aus 2nd ODI is currently underway at Lahore’s Gadaffi Stadium. Pakistan lost the first match by 88 runs, hence, will be looking to bounce back today, levelling the three-match series.

Notably, the ODI series will be followed by a one-off T20I, concluding the historic Australia tour of Pakistan on April 5th.
