BCCI unveils T20 World Cup 2021 trophy in Dubai

The Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI), having the hosting rights of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021, has launched the event’s trophy in Dubai on Thursday, 2nd September.

The honorary secretary of the world’s cash-rich board, Jay Shah, revealed the trending topic on his Twitter sharing the photos alongside Sourav Ganguly, BCCI’s administrator, H.E. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahyan, Mr. Khalid Al Zarooni, and other ICC officials.

India, having the original rights to entertain the mega event, is deprived of hosting it within their realms as the COVID pandemic has dragged the T20 World Cup to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman.

The event’s group stage is set to begin from 17th October but the Super 12 round will kick off by 23rd. Notably, South Africa and Australia will open the Super 12 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium at 3:00 PM PST.
