The ICC T20 World Cup 2022 is all set to be staged in Australia this October as all the participants gear up to lift the trophy. The much-hyped event will begin with the Group Stage, composed of eight teams, equally divided among Group A and Group B.
The teams placed in the same group will face the other of their group once in the Group Stage, which begins on October 16th. The top two teams of each group will then proceed to the next round, called Super 12, which currently includes already qualified eight teams equally split up in Group 1 and Group 2. Each group of Super 12 will feature six teams after the four teams from Group Stage will qualify.
The Group Stage will see Sri Lanka and Namibia locking horns in the opening encounter on 16th October at Geelong Cricket Ground. The rest of the schedule is shared below:
