rashid khan leaves PSL

Rashid Khan played his last game of the marquee event Pakistan Super League yesterday and it was a bitter-sweet moment. The Afghan pacer joined Lahore Qalandars last season and played some phenomenal innings. The star was selected by the same franchise this year and the 23-year-old did not disappoint.

Rashid Khan departs with 13 wickets and a show-case of excellent performances laced with so much entertainment. He has played nine matches for his side and has truly made a remarkable role in taking the Qalandars on the second spot on the HBL PSL points table. His best bowling figures of 4-17 came in the match against Karachi Kings.

The Lahore Qalandars pacer also had only good things to say about the league. “I have always enjoyed playing for Qalandars in PSL. It’s like a family for me. My fans here are too supportive and their support makes me stronger,” He also wished his team well saying, “I am leaving but my wishes are for my team. Inshallah, this time we will win PSL.”

The cricket fans especially the Lahore Qalandars’ followers are saddened at the departure of the pacer. But the fraternity is also grateful to him for his outstanding efforts and the team spirit he showed. He introduced the team with a ‘snake-celebration’ that became so popular even among the fans.

Rashid Khan received an honorary guard of honour from his teammates lauding the bowler for everything he has done for the franchise. Cricket lovers from Pakistan are now thanking the fast-bowler for his time and endeavours in the country. He departs today to be with the Afghanistan team for the tour of Bangladesh, Here is what the fans are saying.
