
The second edition of the Kashmir Premier League (KPL 2) is revolving just around the corner, and the participated youth is excited to gain the limelight once again. Alongside the emerging talent and players from Kashmir, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has allowed seven of its players to participate in the tournament.
According to the reports, Fawad Alam (Red Ball Category B), Azhar Ali (Red Ball Category A), Abid Ali (Red Ball Category D), Nauman Ali (Red Ball Category C), Haseebullah, Mohammad Huraira, Ali Usman (all three Emerging Category) are likely to be drafted.
As revealed by the sources, Rashid Latif, the director of KPL, held a meeting with the PCB to get the contracted players for the upcoming edition of the Kashmir Premier League. Consequently, the meeting has turned out successful and big players Alam, Azhar, Abid, and Nauman, alongside emerging cricketers Haseeb, Huraira, and Usman, will be seen featuring for respective franchises.

Reportedly, the PCB has also given permission to KPL to draft foreign cricketers who retired five years ago. However, there is no official statement regarding drafting the foreign cricketers in the upcoming edition. Notably, there were five overseas cricketers who participated in KPL 2021.
The second edition of the league is set to begin in Muzaffarabad on 11th August, with the final to be played on 25th August.
