UAE friendship cup to feature Bollywood stars, ex legend cricketers

Sharjah is all set to host the first-ever UAE Friendship Cup from 5th March, which will not only be featuring the big names from the world of cricket, but also the Bollywood Gurus. The thrilling and entertaining tournament will be played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on 5th, 6th, and 7th March.

UAE Friendship Cup is launching under the financing of Sheikh Faisal Bin Khaled Al Qassimi and in collaboration with the Safety Ambassadors Council of Dubai Police. The revelation of Friendship Cup UAE corresponds with the ‘Most Beautiful Winter in the World’ campaign founded by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum to unify UAE as a single tourist destination.

The four teams; Bollywood Kings, Pakistani Legends, Indian Legends, and the World Legends will don jerseys for their respective sides in the first version of the Friendship Cup. The fans will truly be seeing the essence of former cricket greats with the Bollywood classics.

The tournament will take place under the secure support of the Dubai Police. As far as fans question, ‘how to watch UAE Friendship Cup Live’ is considered, Sony 6 Television will broadcast all the matches live. Organized by the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB), this tournament will be highlighting experience, fun, acts, all at one place, worldwide.

Big names in UAE Friendship Cup

Some of the big names are from the list of Former Indian, Pakistani, Sri Lankans, and Bangladeshi Test cricketers. Bollywood Kings will be commanded by one of the great Indian actors Suniel Shetty. Sohail Khan, Aftab Shivdasani, Saqib Saleem, Shabbir Ahluwalia, Jay Bhanushali, Salil Ankola, and many more will be the team’s part.

India Legends will be led by Mohammad Azharuddin which will feature Ajay Jadeja, Irfan Pathan, Mohammad Kaif and Venkatesh Prasad among others. Whereas, Pakistan Legends will play under the leadership of Imran Nazir including Salman Butt, Mohammad Yousuf, Mohammad Irfan, Yasir Hameed and others.

Moreover, the World Giants will witness Brendan Taylor and Elton Chigumbura from Zimbabwe, Abdul Razzak from Bangladesh and Samiullah Shinwari from Afghanistan alongside the notable names from the corners of the world. The World team will rock under the captainship of Ajantha Mendis from Sri Lanka.
