islamabad injuries

The injured warriors of Islamabad United will not be available to play today’s encounter with Lahore Qalandars as told by the franchise.

Zeeshan Zameer and Shadab Khan had picked up injuries in the clash against Karachi Kings. The skipper had to leave the match without bowling a single ball. Colin Munro will also be unavailable. He was injured during a practice session.

The three players were excluded from the playing eleven against Peshawar Zalmi. Zahid Mehmood came as Shadab’s like-for-like backup while Asif Ali led the team. United up a great fight but lost the match by ten runs in the end.

Currently, at the fourth position in the HBL PSL points table, a win in today’s game will confirm them a spot in the play-offs and Quetta Gladiators will be eliminated.

Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi qualified for the knock-offs when Multan Sultans, the first one to qualify, beat Quetta Gladiators with 117 runs, the highest margin ever.
