Virat Kohli, the skipper of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has achieved a debatable milestone in T20 Cricket. He is now the only fifth batsman to have over 10000 T20 runs in the format’s career.

The feat came whilst playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) versus the Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians. The game commenced in the Dubai International Stadium and Kohli made sure to not let go of the feat.

Jasprit Bumrah, the toe crushing pacer, while delivering the third bowl of the fourth over, conceded a colossal boundary from RCB’s captain. Probably, it could have not been a six as Kohli did not look comfortable in a position of hitting.

Virat Kohli is now the only Indian with 10000 T20 runs:

The full-length bowl, after edging the bat, went on the square leg region and easily surpassed the boundary bringing up his remarkable achievement of 10000 T20 runs.

He is now in the elite and truncated list with Chris Gayle, Shoaib Malik, Kieron Pollard, and David Warner as the names. Among them, Gayle is the only player to have 14000 T20 runs.

Now, India’s Rohit Sharma and Australia’s Aaron Finch look next to join the list being close to 10000 T20 runs.

It is pertinent to mention that although Kohli is yet to do big in IPL 2021 for RCB, but his team is going pretty fine, currently placed at 3rd on the points table with 6 out of 10 wins.
