The captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Virat Kohli has registered the singular record in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as he surpassed 6000 runs.
Having 6000+ IPL runs, he is just the solo cricketer in the history of the Indian league to achieve the feat. He hit the milestone while standing in the Match 16 of the IPL 2021 as RCB locked the horns with the Rajasthan Royals (RR).
Amazingly, no player from IPL has even reached 6000 runs. In tonight’s match, he registered a splendid knock of 72* runs that came off 42 balls. His inning helped the red army to clinch the win versus Sanju Samson’s men in chasing 178 runs.

This is not the only record Kohli records in the history of the IPL. He is also the leading run-scorer of the world’s cash-rich league. Taking over the captaincy of his team in 2013, he hit consecutive feats but is yet to win an IPL trophy.
