Wasim Akram reveals he was addicted to cocaine

Former Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram has revealed that he was addicted to cocaine after his playing career ended. The big revelation has been quoted from his biography, named Sultan Wasim Akram.

The King of Swing has revealed that although he was addicted, he quit after the death of his ex-wife, Huma Akram. Notably, Huma and Wasim married each other in 1995. The lady passed away 14 years after their marriage.

As far as Wasim’s career is concerned, it ended as a result of match-fixing controversies in the 1990s. He has gained massive respect as a bowler, and Pakistan is yet to dig out Akram’s replacement. He has 916 international wickets to his name. Up to date, no Pakistani bowler has most wickets than Akram.

As revealed by the sources who have read his book, Wasim became addicted to cocaine after a tragic end to his career but quit doing so after the death of Huma.
