psl player trade

A window has been opened for the franchises to trade players in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL 7). It is pertinent to mention that the league is halfway through with the Karachi leg over after the last match.

According to the established option, players who did not participate in the Karachi-leg of the tournament can be traded from one franchise to the other. Only a small amount of time has been provided to decide on the trade. According to rules, the transfer of players can be done till 9th February, 6:30 PM. The remaining games of this season resume from 10th February in Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.

Another rule encompassing the trade is that only those players can be given that have not been featured in a single match of the first phase and the franchise, as well as the player(s) in question, must agree to make a transfer. Regarding the number, each team will be allowed to bring two more players to the franchise through the window. Another thing is the category. Only same category transfers are allowed and the total number of active members in a squad shall remain unchanged. No franchise has announced trades up till now.

This shall allow the players who weren’t able to showcase their talent in one team to play and highlight their skills in another team. Earlier a green signal was given by the National Command and Operation Centre NCOC to allow 100% spectators in the Stadium from 16th February, children below the age of 12 will also be allowed.
