What makes IPL best in the world? Reveals Usman Khawaja

Usman Khawaja, the Pakistan-born Australian cricketer says the Indian Premier League (IPL) is the world’s best T20 competition following the fact that all India’s big cricketing gurus are participating in the extravaganza over the last 15 years. He feels that no other T20 league in the world features Indian cricketers which differentiate IPL from others making the best in the world.

Khawaja, who is on the Australia tour of Pakistan 2022 with the rest of his mates, says there is no point of comparison in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and the IPL. The cricketer narrated IPL gathers all the world across it with every new season showing its strength.

It must be noted that the Indian cricketers are not allowed to play any T20 league or other cricket competition across the world since the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) does not allow its players to experience. The BCCI feels the IPL and Indian cricket are offering enough money to the players with no motive left to play in several leagues. Many Indian players have seen complaining about the issue.

While talking ahead of the Pak vs Aus Rawalpindi Test set to begin as a series opener on 4th March, the left-handed batsman said that,

“Obviously, IPL is the strongest in the world. There’s not really a contest here (between PSL and the IPL), because at the end of the day, they have all the world come to them and it is the only league in the world to have Indian cricketers. So, it ends up becoming the best league in the world,”

It must be noted Khawaja and the mates will undergo a three-match red-ball series, three ODIs, and the only T20I on Australia tour of Pakistan happening for the first time in 24 years. It is going to be a full swing tour with all big names in the cricket-loving nation contributing to the revival of international cricket in Pakistan.

As far as IPL 2022 is concerned, the 15th edition of the marquee event is scheduled to begin from 26th March and the final will be played on 29th May. IPL best in the world according to Khawaja will be contested entirely at the state of Maharashtra. The tournament opener will see Chennai Super Kings lock horns with Kolkata Knight Riders.
