The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed the dates for the eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2023), according to which the extravaganza is due to take place between February 9th to March 19th, 2023.
The governing council of the T20 league met on Friday to discuss the mandatory aspects for the new season of PSL. It is pertinent to mention here that the press conference took place in Lahore at the National High-Performance Center.
Part of the governing council, all six teams were present at the conference alongside PCB chairman Ramiz Raja. The chairman congratulated all the franchises for the successful HBL PSL 7 venture, entirely in Pakistan, uninterrupted, for the first time since the league’s inception.
Earlier, the seasons have either taken place entirely in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) or partially in UAE and partially in Pakistan following the security and COVID threats in respective years.
Another significant discussion of the CG meeting was deciding PSL 2023 venue, as it is likely to be staged in Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi. Peshawar’s Arab Niaz Stadium has once again been left out following its incomplete constriction.
Notably, further meetings will take place next week to make plans for another successful Pakistan Super League season within the realm.
