When will PSL 6 take place?

There are a lot of speculations on “when will PSL 6 take place”. However, there are no clear stances yet. If we analyze the available windows, 2021 is occupied by a lot of cricket.

There are international series, final of the ICC Test Championship, Asia Cup (likely), T20 World Cup. Notably, April-May will be fully available as the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) has tentatively scheduled IPL 2021 in the window.

IPL every year takes place during March-June and the window is widely available hence, the availability of players is not an issue either. There are no big events or international cricket scheduled during the tenure.

Consequently, the PCB can look forward to organizing the PSL 6 that is postponed due to the rising COVID cases. Notably, the last held edition of Pakistan’s T20 league was also organized behind closed doors. There are chances that PCB will be resuming the remaining edition in May with no audience.

When will PSL 6 take place?

“We will be looking at other windows and we hope to play the event at a later time,” he added.

The CEO of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Wasim Khan is either looking to organize it sooner (May) or else the tournament will be violated with no option available to continue it.

Notably, the event had to be postponed after several COVID positive cases were examined. The PCB was left with no option but to seal the league temporarily.

The news was shocking for everyone to listen to the sudden postponement that came a few hours before Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators were to lock horns at the National Stadium playing the 15th Match of the HBL PSL 2021.
