The much-awaited Pakistan Super League PSL season 7 commenced last night among the glitz and glamour, cheers and claps in the National Stadium Karachi.

In the season opener, Karachi Kings locked-horns with the season 6 champions Multan Sultans. The seemingly confused and unprepared Kings could only put up 124 runs in 20 overs.

In reply, the Sultans walked all over their opposition to achieve the target in 18.2 overs. The Rizwan-led team had all the right ingredients for a win, and win they did.

Karachi Kings, who had some key players missing, including Imad Wasim and Muhammad Amir, displayed a poor show in both the innings. Even Salman Iqbal, the team owner expressed his disappointment at the team’s batting approach. He said, “The score of our team batting first against Multan Sultans could have been more. We didn’t score much in the first ten overs and also scored 20 to 25 runs at the backend,”

The Kings’ fans were thoroughly disappointed to see their team collapse in this manner.  it was a poor show that lacked in all the departments and many pointed out the basic mistakes they made in the very first PSL match and expected better from the skipper.
