IPL 2021: With over a million COVID-19 positive cases reported in India, the surge of the virus is exceeding the limit interrupting the bio-secure bubble of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Despite the vaccination being done on a large scale, the virus could not be pulled out and the second wave continues to spread widely across the subcontinent.

The IPL 2021 had no broader shavings of the COVID hit despite a few positive COVID cases but the foreign players have started pulling themselves out of the tournament.

The media reportedly writes that numerous amount of COVID cases have been kept hidden by the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) to save their golden reputation.

There is no call to truncate the venue or to swap the venues despite the fellowmen dying every day. Truncation far, but there is no hope yet given by the authorities to call off the extravaganza temporarily.

The media understands that the BCCI and IPL are mulling to make the league happen at any cost as they did not give up even last time and dragged IPL 2020 to the UAE.

Within the last 24 hours, the notable names of Ravichandran Ashwin from Delhi Capitals, Liam Livingstone and Andrew Tye from Rajasthan Royals, and Kane Richardson and Adam Zampa from the Royal Challengers Bangalore have announced via Twitter leaving the tournament in mid-way.

It is a shut-up call for all those wanting to commence IPL in such crucial times. Many believe that the social forums of the big players such as Virat Kohli with over Millions of followers should be used to demand to call off IPL being a responsible citizen rather than promoting IPL.
