Due to his commitments with Nottinghamshire in the Vitality Blast 2023, Qalandars’ regular captain Shaheen Shah Afridi will be unavailable for the match. However, the team will still have the talented opener Fakhar Zaman, along with emerging players Tahir Baig and Ahsan Hafeez Bhatti in their squad.
The PCB XI team, comprising of notable players like Kamran Akmal, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Ilyas, and Abid Ali, will provide strong competition to Lahore Qalandars. The PCB XI will also include local and U19 players, showcasing the talent and potential of younger cricketers.
The exhibition match will take place at the Narowal Sports Complex, coinciding with the launching ceremony of the state-of-the-art complex. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to be the guest of honour, adding prestige to the event.
