Who will perform in IPL 2023 closing ceremony?

The grand finale of the Indian Premier League 2023 is set to conclude on Sunday, May 28 at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The Chennai Super Kings, a dominant force in the tournament with four championship victories, secured their place in the final after a hard-fought 15-run win over the Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 1. Meanwhile, the Titans and the Mumbai Indians will battle it out in Qualifier 2 on Friday, May 26 to determine the second finalist.

Led by the illustrious MS Dhoni, the Chennai Super Kings will be making their impressive tenth appearance in the T20 extravaganza’s ultimate showdown. As the second most successful franchise in IPL history, they have already clinched the coveted trophy on four occasions. On the other hand, the Mumbai Indians, the most successful team in the IPL Winners List, have an outstanding track record with five title triumphs.

In order to enhance the grandeur of the summit clash, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited star rapper and singer King, along with Nucleya, to grace the closing ceremony of the tournament. The official Twitter handle of the IPL shared this exciting news with fans, expressing the anticipation for an iconic evening of power-packed performances. The tweet reads, “Ahmedabad – You are in for a treat! Brace yourselves for an iconic evening as King & @NUCLEYA have some power-packed performances in store for you. How excited are you to witness the two in action?”.

Interestingly, the defending champions Gujarat Titans achieved a remarkable feat by clinching the trophy in their debut appearance in 2022, following in the footsteps of the Rajasthan Royals, who emerged victorious in the inaugural edition of the IPL back in 2008. Both the Qualifier 2 and the final will be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, which serves as the home ground for the Titans. This presents an excellent opportunity for the Hardik Pandya-led side to claim their second consecutive title in familiar conditions.

However, the Mumbai Indians, who have displayed an impressive resurgence by winning their last three matches, pose a formidable challenge to the Titans. If the Mumbai-based team manages to surpass the Titans in Qualifier 2, it will set the stage for an electrifying El Clasico finale. The intense rivalry and fierce competition between these two teams promise an action-packed spectacle for fans eagerly awaiting the ultimate clash on the field.
