
The much-awaited exhibition match between Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi is just around the corner and fans are excited to see their favorite cricket stars in action. The match, set to take place on February 5th, is a part of the build-up to the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8.
Former flamboyant all-rounder Shahid Khan Afridi, who will be part of the exhibition match, has praised the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Baluchistan government, and Pakistan Army for their decision to organize the match in Quetta. “I am very excited to play in Quetta,” Afridi told media on Monday. “I would like to thank and congratulate PCB head Najam Sethi, Baluchistan government, and Pakistan Army for taking this step.”
Afridi mentioned that his foundation has worked a lot in Baluchistan and the people there direly need such activities. He expressed his hope and excitement for the amazing scenes that will unfold in Quetta on February 5th. “My foundation has worked a lot in Baluchistan and I know the people there direly need such activities. Tickets for the exhibition match went on sale on Monday, with the ticket price set at PKR 20 each. Fans can buy tickets from various locations such as Bolan Cricket Stadium, Bugti Stadium, Jan Mall, Mariabad (Gulzari Travels), and Airport Road (Almehmood Mart). The star-studded contest will start at 11am (PST) and will be broadcast live on PTV Sports.
Sarfaraz Ahmed will lead team purple, while Babar Azam will captain team yellow. Babar’s team will feature star cricketers like Afridi, Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Haris, Danish Aziz, and Saim Ayub. Sarfaraz’s team purple will include players like Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Hasnain, Naseem Shah, and Umar Akmal. With such a strong lineup, fans are in for an exciting and entertaining match.
