WI vs Ban: Will West Indies do or die?

The do-or-die battle for the two teams, Bangladesh and West Indies is underway as both are yet to win a match in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. Bangladesh have won the toss and elected to field first leaving the men in maroon with low probabilities of winning the game – the decision that often has been benefitting the teams.

Either you lose or you polish your chances to be in the semifinal. Both the teams are rivaling a high-voltage clash striving to make it this time as they have lost their first two games consecutively.

During the ongoing big event, West Indies, the two times T20 World Cup champions got shattered versus England and South Africa respectively by six and eight wickets. They did not have a good start to their T20 World Cup 2021 campaign as they endeavored strenuously to win the warm-up games as well.

Bangladesh and West Indies, being placed in Group A of the Super 12 teams, are placed at fifth and sixth spots on the T20 WC 21 Points table sequentially. So far, England and Australia are with the cloudless chances to be in the semifinal having two out of two accomplishments and looking for a single more out of three left.

Darren Sammy, the former captain, while addressing the dumbfound squad, said that if the men in maroon will win the rest of the matches versus Sri Lanka, and Australia,  including the ongoing clash vs BAN, they can still turn things around.

The devotees believe that Obed McCoy’s replacement, Jason Holder can bring fortunes for the side. Notably, Holder, who was named in the traveling reserves, has been shifted to the main squad following Obed’s injury.
