The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has planned to consult a foreign sports cardiologist following Abid Ali’s aliment that he diagnosed yesterday.
The board will hand over the batter’s medical reports to the foreign sports cardiologist to examine them further to take action on the opening batsman career. A yes or no from the other end will decide his cricketing fate.
Abid has been diagnosed with Acute Coronary Syndrome and was rushed to the hospital after complaining of severe chest pain during Central Punjab’s play versus Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The PCB statement read that the player was in stable condition but is kept under the experienced cardiologist’s care.
As of now, as per Abid’s statement released by PCB, he is feeling stable and requested the fans to pray for his speedy recovery.
Will Abid Ali’s career end?
The acute coronary syndrome is a term used to describe a range of conditions associated with sudden, reduced blood flow to the heart. People take it as a heart attack as well.
Abid, whilst batting on 61, complained twice about the chest pain. Central Punjab medical team then took him to the hospital to diagnose and take care of.
The PCB has requested the fans and the media to respect Abid and his family’s privacy in the meantime. The rest of the details will be shared in a short course.
Since he made his red-ball debut for Pakistan, he has been the leading run-scorer since 2019. Also, he is the fifth-highest test run-scorer in the world in the calendar year with 695 runs in nine Tests at an astounding average of 48.87, including a double-hundred against Zimbabwe.
Abid Ali "Thanks to the Almighty, I am fine. I am requesting all of you to pray for my health. Tomorrow I have a minor procedure and I am asking for your prayers for success in that as well"
