PSL 2021: Will Quetta Gladiators make comeback?

The Pakistan Super League (PSL 2021) is just a month ahead and the preparations are already going on. With the HBL PSL draft being done, the schedule has also been on-screened. Each team has made sure to choose the full-strength squad to clinch the HBL PSL 6 title with their deliverances.

Quetta Gladiators have always been the team to look out for ever since the Pakistan Super League begin. From the first season until 2019, Quetta Gladiators have always qualified for knockouts. They played two finals; one in 2016, they lost to Islamabad United, and then in 2019, they defeated Peshawar Zalmi by eight wickets to win their maiden title.

However, being the defending champions, they underperformed the last edition, coming second-last. They won four out of the ten matches they played. They had their lowest moment against Lahore Qalandars, where they were restricted to 98-9 in 20 overs and lost the match with eight overs to spare.

They were widely criticized by fans apart. But Quetta Gladiators, led by the former Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed and coached by Moin Khan, are known for not giving up. That 2020 season maybe their worst, but 2021 promises to be a year where Gladiators can make a strong comeback.
