Earlier this week, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the whopping prize money that the teams would get for participating in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia. Of course, the runner-ups Pakistan and the winners, England, were on the top of the charts, with the men in green exactly getting half ($800,000) of what Jos Buttler and co will get, $1.6 Million.
It makes a lucrative amount of almost 220 Million Pakistani Rupees. And each Pakistani cricketer, for putting his effort into bringing the team to the final, will get more than PKR 1 Crore in their bank accounts.
Apart from that, the men in green will also get $120,000, 40,000 for each win they came across during the Group Stage as they managed to defeat the Netherlands, South Africa, and Bangladesh, respectively.
There will be an equal split among all the players, including Fakhar Zaman, who played only a single game. At the same time, the rest of the amount will go to team management and the rest of the staff.
According to Cricket Pakistan’s estimation, each player will earn more than PKR 1 Crore and 30 Lakhs. Mohammad Hasnain and Khushdil Shah will also get a whopping amount for doing nothing throughout the tournament.
