Pakistan vs India rivalry is what everyone anticipates when it comes to multinational events like World Cup or Asia Cup. Due to the heated relations between the two countries, there is always a fierce battle, not only between the on-field players but also among the fans.
The Sad is that Pak vs Ind never engages in a bilateral series. Any such rivalry came back in 2012 and since then, the two teams have been facing off each other in World Cups, Champion Trophies, and Asia Cups.
Since another edition of the ODI World Cup is on the cards in October this year, the Pak vs Ind is going to happen once again after a year. Their last meeting was back in World Cup 2022.
World Cup 2023: Where will Pak vs Ind happen?
Notably, India is all set to embrace the extravaganza. Although there are uncertainties about if or not Pakistan will travel to India for the World Cup 2023 after the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) has turned down visiting Pakistan for Asia Cup 2023, there is still a ray of hope from the men in green.
If Pakistan will voyage to India for the ODI World Cup 2023, the fans will be able to witness Pak vs Ind at iconic Chennai’s Chidambaram stadium. It has been reported that Pakistan have denied playing in Ahmedabad due to security reasons. For this reason, Babar Azam and co will be in action in Chennai for their group stage matches.

It is pertinent to mention here that despite Pakistan’s unwillingness to play matches in Ahmedabad, there will be no exception in case of a knock-out match. As far as the schedule of the event is concerned, BCCI has promised releasing it ‘on time’.
“We are meeting ICC officials tomorrow to discuss the fine prints of the schedule. Once that’s done, we will have it for you. By Monday, we should have the final schedule,” a senior BCCI official told InsideSport.
“I think even today [Wednesday] we might be receiving the schedule from the hosts, and we’ve just got a bit of consultation to do with all the participating teams and the broadcasters. Then we’ll be publishing that as soon as we possibly can,” Allardice said during an interview on the BBC’s Test Match Special on June 7.
