Yasir Shah issues a warning to Pakistan Cricket Team

Pakistan’s leg-spin bowler, who holds a notable place in red-ball cricket, has warned the Pakistan Cricket Team ahead of the Asia Cup 2022. He says not to take the ex-Indian captain Virat Kohli lightly, since he may soon come out of his poor form anytime.

Kohli’s downfall is not behind the curtains. Despite giving up the captaincy, he is yet to flourish with the bat. Not only striving to make some decent double-digit runs, but his 71st international century drought continues. He last made a hundred in 2019 against Bangladesh.

Yasir understands that it might take only a game for him to bounce back in form. Warning Pakistan, the bowler urged Pakistan Cricket Team to beware of him in Asia Cup 2022 whilst facing the Indian Cricket Team.

“Don’t take Virat Kohli easy. Yes, he is not in form because he is struggling to score runs, but he is a world-class player, and he can come back to form at any time,”

Since Pakistan no more have Shaheen Shah Afridi to enjoy his services in Asia Cup 2022, they will be relying on Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah, and other young guns to tremble India’s top-order, including Kohli. With Shaheen, it had been easier in the T20 World Cup 2021.

The former Indian skipper’s run-making record against the men in green is remarkable. Despite his poor form, he has been one of the excellent batters world cricket has ever witnessed. Kohli enjoys multiple phenomenal records to his name that are unique to him only.

Donning the Indian jersey since 2008, the veteran has amassed 23,726 international runs across all formats in 463 appearances. After having a poor showcase versus England in T20Is, he was rested for the West Indies and Zimbabwe series. He will be back to competitive cricket once again on August 28th, facing arch-rivals Pakistan in Asia Cup 2022.
