Why Younis Khan isn’t criticized along with Waqar, Misbah?

Recently, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and its management have been under hot waters for not meeting the selection of management demand causing back-to-back failures for the team from the supporter’s point of view.

The bowling coach Waqar Younis and the head coach Misbah ul Haq have conceded severe criticism as the public and a few cricket related figures have demanded PCB to sack them. Notably, from the time they were selected, team Pakistan has underperformed in every format and depart and the rapid changes in the squad lacking consistency in each aspect is depressing Pakistan’s cricket.

It seems like if one day it goes like without player’s satisfaction under the current management, the team will soon drop down more spots in the three formats of ICC rankings. Recently, the men in green have been humiliated at New Zealand’s home soil in the test and T20I series.

Seeing the consequences, the top-level management has granted the coaches the last chance to improve their performances and giving better plans to the players to achieve bigger against the upcoming South Africa home series.

However, not only Waqar and Misbah are questionable but the batting coach Younis Khan should answer the same questions facing a similar amount of criticism as no batsmen other than Babar Azam have produced consistency yet.

The team lacks the openers, mid-overs batsmen, hard-hitters, and finishers. Lacking the opening duo, the batting line has often seen suffering and recently has failed against New Zealand as well. It looks like the team is highly reliant upon Babar who missed out on the series amidst injury.

Seeing the ultimate failure in batting along with the overall performances and bowling, Younis himself finds accountable for the mediocre deliverance. He believes like Misbah and Waqar, he should be questioned either.

Also, discussing Babar being captain of all three formats is another scenario. People hope his leadership won’t impact his performances as he is the only backbone of the batting line-up. As the World Cup and many bigger events are near, the team should be learning consistency. The men in green should adhere themselves with the management as these conflicts will not be gifting anything to them other than the humiliating defeats.
