
PSL 8: The upcoming exhibition match between Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi has seen the appointment of Kamran Akmal as head coach for the Zalmi team. The match, scheduled to take place in Quetta on February 5, will see Babar Azam-led Zalmi take on Sarfaraz Ahmed’s Gladiators.
In addition to Akmal, former Test cricketer Inzamam-ul-Haq will serve as team mentor for the Zalmi squad. The squad, sporting the team’s signature yellow, boasts a star-studded lineup including Shahid Afridi, Wahab Riaz, Haseebullah, Danish Aziz, and more.
On the other side, the Gladiators squad, led by Sarfaraz Ahmed, features players such as Umar Akmal, Bismillah Khan, Naseem Shah, Mohammad Hasnain, and more.
This exhibition match, hosted by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in collaboration with the Baluchistan government, serves as a warm-up for the upcoming eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League. The match is set to start at 11am (PST) and will be live-telecasted by PTV Sports.
With tickets selling out within two days, this one-of-a-kind match has been highly anticipated by cricket-starved fans in Quetta.
