Naseem Shah unavailable for Multan Test

Pakistani pacer Naseem Shah has suffered pain in the right shoulder and is unlikely to take part in the Multan Test, scheduled to kick-start on December 9th. According to the details, the fast bowler did not bowl in the training session on Thursday due to a niggle in his right shoulder.

Naseem was Pakistan’s standout bowler in the first test and managed five wickets, which, at a point, troubled English batters. But, in the end, it had minimal effect as England managed to win by 74 runs.

Earlier, Haris Rauf was ruled out of the series due to the strain in the right quad. He fell while fielding on Day 1 of the first Test at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Precisely, the fast bowlers of Pakistan are struggling with injuries as Shaheen Shah Afridi, following his long-term injury, was ruled out of the series. He was injured during Galle Test in July and was ruled out of the Netherlands series, Asia Cup 2022, the seven-match T20I series against England, and the T20 World Cup 2022.

It is pertinent to mention that the second test will be played between December 9th and 13th at Multan Cricket Stadium, whereas the final test will take place between December 17th and 21st at National Stadium Karachi.
