Pak vs Aus: Ramiz Raja tells what people shouldn’t comment about PCT

Pak vs Aus: Ramiz Raja tells not to question team's capacity

The chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mr. Ramiz Raja has urged that no one should question the capability of the Pakistan Cricket Team (PCT). His statement came in the enlightenment of men in green’s 0-1 Test series defeat versus Australia.

After the first two test matches, that took place at Rawalpindi and Karachi stadiums respectively, ended in a draw, the spectators were seeing the final game in favour of the hosts. However, the beauty of Test cricket, with Australia in need of five wickets and Pakistan looking for triple-digit runs, turned the tables instantly on the final day. Pat Cummins and co triumph the match by 115 runs to conclude the series. The visitors won the three-match red-ball series by 1-0.

Pakistan should have learned what it takes to beat Australia – Ramiz Raja

Raja feels PCT should not be taken for granted since they fought back. However, the loss has left men in green under fire and backlashes. He wrote on his Twitter that,

What a great series ! Pakistan would have learned what it takes to beat the No 1 team in the world. No body though should question Pak’s capacity to fight. Opinions regarding team to have been bold while chasing over 500 at Khi & 350 plus on a turner on day 5 at Lhr are absurd!

The remaining historic Australia tour of Pakistan composes of three-match ODI series to be followed by a one-off T20I. The three 50-over games will be encountered on 29th March, 31st March, and 2nd April, whereas, the tour will be concluded on 5th April with a T20I match.

It must be noted Australia are in Pakistan for the first time in 24 years. Their last tour was back in 1998. It is a huge success for the board and nation to welcome the big stars such as Steve Smith, Pat Cummins, David Warner, and many more, giving a message to the world that Pakistan is fully safest for cricket, and other sports with a great hospitality.
