Anushka Sharma to get cricket training in UK for her upcoming movie

The renowned Bollywood star Anushka Sharma is all set to get cricket training in the UK for her upcoming movie, featuring one of the great Indian women cricketers, Jhulan Goswami. Anushka, the wife of former Indian skipper Virat Kohli, will sharpen her cricketing skills to play the leading role in the move named Chakda Xpress.

It has been head that the shooting for all parts of the movie has been completed except for the cricket part, which will be shoot in Leeds. The 34-year-old will travel to Leed by the end of August to practice and play the role for shooting, entirely to be completed by early September.

One of the officials from Bollywood narrated,

“Anushka is leaving no stone unturned to become Jhulan on screen. She will prepare her body. She will perfect her cricket skills extensively in Leeds from mid-August before she starts shooting the cricket portions of the film”.

“She has always been a deeply committed artiste and she wants to do justice to the role at hand. She will prep thoroughly and put herself through rigorous training exercises before she shoots the key scenes right from the end of August through September.”

According to reports, the movie based on the life of Goswami will be released on Netflix. It is likely to be publicised in January 2023; however, the producers might change their plan according to the execution.

The recent biopic based on a cricketer’s life was ‘Shabash Mithu’, portraying the ex-Indian cricketer, Mithali Raj. India’s best woman cricketer retired on June 8th, 2022, creating history as a record-maker and breaker. However, the movie has not gotten the reviews as they were expected.

The pressure is now on Anushka Sharma to make the Goswami-based movie a big success. MS Dhoni’s biopic, played by the late Sushant Singh Rajput, was a great success.
