This Indian player will not be part of Legends League Cricket

The President of the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) Sourav Ganguly, has denied his participation in the Legends League Cricket’s upcoming edition. After the reports stated that Ganguly would be part of the tournament, he was quick to note and responded to give clarification.

Earlier, the organizers of the LLC penned out that, ‘it is going to be a lot of fun playing with other legends.’ However, Ganguly himself has turned down all the news speculating his participation in LLC 2022.

While talking to NDTV Sports, the BCCI President revealed,

“No, I am not going to be a part of Legends League Cricket. The news isn’t true.”

As far as other Indian cricketers are concerned, the Pathan Brothers, Harbhajan Singh, and Virender Sehwag’s participation have been confirmed alongside some other well-knowns. Detailing on players from other parts of the world, the former greats like Shane Watson, Eoin Morgan, Muttiah Muralitharan and others will take part.

The LCC will feature four privately-owned teams named apart from the ones that featured in the first edition; Asian Lions, World Giants, and India Maharajas. As the names indicate, Maharaja will have all the Indian cricketers, Lions will feature all players from Asia except India, whereas the Giants will represent from other parts of the countries.

The second edition of the Legends League Cricket will be held between September 20 and October 10, 2022, in Oman.
