The Balochistan Police honored the young left-arm pacer, Naseem Shah, by appointing him as the honorary Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) on Saturday. The appointment ceremony was held at the IG office, with the IG Balochistan Police, Abdul Khaliq Sheikh, and the Additional Chief Secretary Interior, Zahid Saleem, in attendance.

The ceremony saw the young pacer being presented with stars on his uniform, symbolizing his new rank as DSP. Naseem Shah has represented Pakistan in 15 Tests, five ODIs, and 16 T20Is and has a budding international career with 74 wickets to his name.

Naseem Shah will also be representing the Quetta Gladiators in the upcoming eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), which is set to commence on February 13. Another Pakistan pacer, Shaheen Shah Afridi, was honored in a similar manner when he was appointed as the ambassador of goodwill by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Police in July 2022.
