Pakistan Cricket Team’s qualification for the semifinal of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 is no less than a miracle. While some argue that it is entirely based on luck, the men in green have played some really good cricket in their last three matches against Bangladesh, South Africa, and the Netherlands.
Although they did not have an excellent start to their World Cup campaign, with two successive defeats against Zimbabwe and India, they managed to win the next three. Losing the first two games did not only slim down their chances to qualify for the semifinal, but with the minor possibilities left, it made sure that they ‘must’ win leftover games.
Luckily, all boxes got ticked in Pakistan’s favour, although not all the scenarios went as Pakistan wanted. For example, South Africa losing against India was one of the possibilities, but people say that the men in blue deliberately lost to kick Pakistan out of the tournament.
However, nature favours Babar Azam and co, as the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), also posted a Quranic verse hinting that people’s plans won’t work until Allah wants. As social media floods with congratulations posts, fans with a good sense of humour are also busy making laughable memes. Here are a few of them.
