England’s all-rounder, Sam Curran has been ruled out of the T20 World Cup squad due to a lower back injury.
Curran, the 23-years-old, whilst playing for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021), complained about lower back pain after the team’s Saturday game against Rajasthan Royals.
After he complain, he was immediately taken under scan which unveiled injury conformation. Now, for further review through England’s medical professionals, Curran will fly back to the UK in a couple of days.
England, after dealing with a huge blow, announced Curran’s alternative by hand naming his brother, Tom Curran in the T20 World Cup squad. Also, Reece Topley has been added to the playing reserves.
Notably, Eoin Morgan and co earlier dealt with a heavy blow on missing out on Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes. The three lions will kick-start event’s and their own World Cup campaign on 23rd October versus Wes Indies at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
